Description:
|
A TAPIR is a large browsing mammal, similar in shape to a pig, with a short, prehensile snout. Tapirs inhabit jungle and forest regions of South America, Central America and Southeast. Although tapirs are often mistaken for pigs and anteaters, they're in the odd-toed hooved animal family (perissodactyls), as are the horse and rinocerous (Wikipedia)....This is a charming children's story about the adventures of a torpid tapir that can't seem to get much accomplished. Illustrated throughout by the Author with cute full page black and white illustrations facing each text page.
